November 7-8, 2018--FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Metroplex Question and Answer sessions
Willow Run Airport and Oakland County Airport
Dear members of the Detroit media:
I think it is imperative that you send representatives to these question and answer sessions between the FAA and the public
on November 7 and 8.
The information at these meetings will affect all of us in the metro Detroit area for the next 30 years at least. Thirty
years ago is last time any changes to flight patterns were made around Detroit.
In my experience, the FAA is one of the most corrupt, uncooperative and unresponsive federal agencies we have. Its decisions
affect just about every one of our 300 millions American, yet their select leadership seems to have such an arrogant attitude
toward us. (https://www.faa.gov/about/office_org/media/FAA_Org_Chart.pdf)
Many communities across the country have asked the FAA to give them some relief from the constant air traffic, noise,
and air pollution they are forced to endure from hundreds of planes flying overhead, especially since other solutions are
available. (Links to those communities are at the bottom of this letter.)
I created the web pages on my website (www.georgesarkisian.com), and a Yahoo group, an opportunity to give citizens all
across the country a chance to express the frustrations and war stories they experienced when trying to get any cooperation
from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration).
For three years and counting I having reaching out to all my so-called political representative public servants, up to
and including, Senators Gary Peters and Debbie Stabenow and Representative David Trott. The offices of Debbie Stabenow and
David Trott do not have the courtesy to return any phone calls or emails unless you have a check for $100,000 in your hand.
I finally reached an individual at the office of Gary Peters named Michael Tash. (Michael_Tash@peters.senate.gov)
Michael Tash, Constituent Services Representative, Senator Gary Peters
477 Michigan Avenue, Suite 1837, Detroit, Michigan 48226, Office: (313) 226-6020, Fax: (313) 226-6948
From the sound of his voice, Michael Tash seems to be a young, naïve, young fellow still not jaded by the political corruption
in our country those of us over 65 have seen since Vietnam. He takes all the FAA propaganda fed back to him as gospel without
questioning the logic or facts.
If unafraid, private individuals like me do not stand up to the bullying tactics of FAA, who is going to do it?
I cannot depend on my public servants. Their motivation is, and always will be, the next election and the lifetime benefits
they receive far beyond what normal Americans have.
I encourage you to visit me and sit on my front porch counting the number of planes passing overhead during a single day.
If you need a ride to these meetings please call me. I intend to be at both meetings.
Sincerely
George Sarkisian

Corruption is rampant at the FAA
300 million Americans are begging for some cooperation from the FAA

Corruption is rampant at the FAA
FAA/Metroplex stabs citizens in back.
Three years of frustration-George Sarkisian of Highland Township, Michigan needs help dealing with FAA
METROPLEX-The FAA's Billion-dollar Metroplex boondoggle
Since the autumn of 2015, I have been trying to have educational, fact based, conversations with all levels of people
at the FAA. In our tiny hamlet of Highland, Michigan, and SPECIFICALLY DIRECTLY OVER MY INDIVIDUAL HOUSE, we have hundreds
of LOW FLYING aircraft flying overhead at all hours of the day. We are a very small village 40 miles northwest of Metro Airport.
FORTY MILES NORTHWEST OF DETROIT METRO AIRPORT.
We have Highland State Park in our backyards. Thirty-Six square miles of mostly uninhabited open land. I have been pleading,
begging, crying for, researching, sending pictures, sending detailed, well thought out engineering analysis of options, where,
if the FAA changed the incoming flight pattern just 1200 yards, we could have the planes fly over an uninhabited area and
we could solve a big problem.
Let me add that we are not talking about a random aircraft. We are talking about low flying noisy large jet airplanes
every 90 seconds for 15-18 hours per day, every day. Remember, I am 40 miles northwest of metro airport. We are also talking
that these low flying noisy jets are flying directly over my house (2679 Bay Vista) so that if you dropped a water balloon
from the cockpit, it would land on my front porch every time. The intersection point of the flight path and my house goes
right through my front door. I can't read the call letters on the airplanes but I can see them.
I have had members of the FAA visit my house and they all agree as to the huge number of planes overhead. In September
2016, I traveled over 100 miles on two occasions to attend Public Input sessions regarding the status and the future of the
multiple-timed postponed METROPLEX project. I spent hours talking to representatives named Ron Wood and James Arrighi voicing
my concerns and suggesting well thought-out alternatives. Both Wood and Arrighi shook my hand, looked me straight in the
eye and assured me my suggestions would be given great consideration and I would be pleased with the results of the Metroplex
project.
I tried calling the head of the FAA in Washington D.C., Ray Towles, on several occasions. Since I am only a peon ordinary
citizen, his secretary threatened to call Homeland Security if I called again. Can you imagine that? She wanted to call
HOMELAND SECURITY.
There isn't a person in the world who could convince me this new, but same, instituted flight path was not deliberate
planning by the FAA because I dared question their incoming flight routes with something more logical and less intrusive.
I can't think of any other word except VINDICTIVE because I have been so actively involved and vocal.

George Carlin. Do not threaten anyone. Use only information and data that is found in the public domain.
I have been trying to get some cooperation from the FAA for three years with no success. The situation only gets worse.
The stab in my back from broken promises they made to me gets deeper and more severe. I am sure many of you have similar
stories.
A few power-obsessed people at the FAA are ruling the lives, peace, and prosperity of over 300 million Americans.
Over 300 million Americans have a right to express their opinions. This is your forum to express that right.
