George Sarkisian’s 2010 season, division
1-a, college football “Wall of Shame”.
There are 120 division 1-a schools playing college
football in the 2010 season.
Those 120 division 1-a schools are involved in
768 total games.
Of those 768 games, 90 games involve a division
1-a team versus a division 1-aa school.
Five division 1-a schools play two division 1-aa
teams.
- ACC Coastal-Virginia (weeks 1 and 4)
- Big East-Syracuse (weeks 3 and 4)
- MAC West-Ball State (weeks 1 and 2)
- Pac Ten-Arizona State (weeks 1 and 2)
- WAC-San Jose State (weeks 3 and 5)
All division 1-aa schools have to play on the
road at the division 1-a school. The visiting division 1-aa school should automatically get seven points
and start the game as leading 7-0.
The 35 division 1-a schools that DO NOT play
a division 1-aa school during the 2010 college football season are:
- Big Ten
Ohio State
- Big Twelve N
Colorado
- Big Twelve S

There is not a law that says you cannot schedule
the same conference opponent twice in one season.
Any division 1-a college team playing a division
1-aa team at any time during the 2010 football season will not get my vote. As a result, only the above
35 teams should be allowed to play for the bcs championship.
In addition, in the interest of fair play and
good sportsmanship (something the leaders of the BCS seem to know nothing about), I encourage any division 1-a team that plays
a division 1-aa team, to withdraw from accepting any end-of-season bowl game invitations. You have not
earned that honor, privilege, and reward.
Sincerely,
George Sarkisian
