I wrote the words and melody to this song a few months ago. The music director at Henry Ford Community College (Kevin
Dewey) put me in touch with a wonderful music arranger named Jeremy Palmer. Jeremy and I have been working for
the past month to put the accompaniment to the melody. Jeremy is a wonderful piano player and did a wonderful job.
is a piano version with musical arranger Jeremy Palmer singing.
Jeremy and I will be cleaning
up this version next week. In two weeks we go into the studio to record a professional version.
want to get some outstanding singers singing this. I contacted the agent of the singing group "Forte". The
group appeared on America's Has Talent. He has agreed to listen to the final version.
wrote 10 verses to the poem/lyrics. We only recorded 4. All use the same music except the refrain for the last
verse. It has a different ending.
Jeremy and I would most appreciate all of your comments,
good and bad, before we go into the recording studio. Right the now the sound levels of the voice and music have not
been perfected. We intend to do that in the studio. Let us know about tempo and inflections and anything
else you might like us to change.
Eventually I want to write a duet and trio part for this too.Property

Lets's love God's earth
Let’s love God’s earth and all His creatures great and small
The beasts, the birds, let’s
love them all,
The ones that fly, the ones at sea, treat them as you would want for thee
am yearning for the day when all are free.
I the one who will lead the way?
Will others join me, say yes not nay
When you become afraid
and full of fear,
Use strength from God, for you He’s always here.
The mountain peaks, the air so crisp, the snow so clear
Their beauty makes you
shed a tear
The sun comes up over top each morn, God’s earth wakes up, a new day born
call will shout out from the trumpeter’s horn.
plains, they bow and flow a gentle wave
The question is: “Who will save?”
the one to lead this quest? Can I make life the very best?
For those who care there is no time to rest.
Cut down the trees-their
life is gone and what is there?
Tall steel buildings, no soul to bare
Am I the one who looks
and sees, I beg for help on bended knees,
Why can’t they see the beauty in the trees?
Our oceans cry for help so they can live and breathe
What can I do, their pain to ease?
should men be mean and cruel? Why must we always have to rule?
Why don’t they teach us caring
at our school?
The moon was reached so very, very long ago
1960s were quite a show
We all have left our memories there to fade and die and Buzz asks why oh why.
skies are calling if we only try.
those in power they steal our sense of dignity
And yet our laws scream equality
the smile, the fake concern, an honest leader, is what we yearn
When will we have a hero take his turn?
I don’t know life one hundred fifty years from now
I hope God’s earth
We have to look at ourselves and say, it is up to me to make a better way.
will fight this battle. I will win this fray.
This God of ours, He loves us this
is what I know
He gave us air, and land, and snow
He gave us everything we need, and yet we
lust for gold and greed
To grow God’s food takes but a little seed.
I wish I had the answer for you my dear friends
Protect the beasts till my last day ends
I will fight to end this strife, on my last day, God
gives me life.
We must protect the meek as man loves his wife.
